MY ROLE
Level Design
I worked on the road networks : Dream Bay and Dead Rivers. I designed each zones with their own specificities for both asphalt and dirt roads. A roadnetwork is designed to host all types of events available in the game : A to B races (Derbies), Circuits, Time Attacks, Eliminations.
Mission Design
Missions are races, some of them are standalones but most of them are grouped to form championships and events. Those events support the narrative to create the progression. The challenge was to create enough variety and challenges to keep players interested.
In addition to that, I took care of the balancing, debugging and some set dressing.
UX Design
I assisted the Lead Game Designer to rework the UX of the Performance Shop and the race overlay from the previous entry in the franchise.
