MY ROLE

Level Design
This project has been through a many iterations and for our mandate on it, we had a short deadline. I have been put in charge of creating a process to redesign levels supporting the newest version of the player experience : 

  • Evaluating the ressources we can keep or discard

  • Propose designs and plans to accomodate the new deadline

Once this was approved by the Leads and Producers, I was in charge of executing the plan in tandem with my Junior Level Designer :

  • Create and test layouts

  • Set up mission

  • Help art to dress the level

  • Help programmers to optimize

  • Debug and iterate with QA

Mission Design

Design, implementation and balancing of the objectives

Design, implementation and balancing of the enemies waves

Implementation of events, voicelines, sound FX and VFX

Combat Design

Design implementation and balancing of the encounters

Design of the Cult King Boss fight in collaboration with a Game Designer and a Programmer.
Design and implementation of the Boss Arena layout.

Mentoring
For all levels I was in tandem with a Junior Level Designer. I was in charge of guiding him through the various process, evaluating his tasks and help him in his decisions. All of that under the supervision of my Lead Designer.
